Georgia Ayew
Session Drummer
Georgia Ayew ventured to London at 16 to immerse herself in the UK’s music scene, establishing herself in the scene from an early age. She’s played with the National Youth Jazz Orchestra Big Band and performed at notable venues such as Ronnie Scott’s, Birmingham Hippodrome, and Usher Hall. In 2022, she also recorded drums for the year’s Christmas Number One.
Georgia’s performance credits include shows like Six, Burnt City (Punchdrunk), and Showstopper! The Improvised Musical, along with festival appearances at the UK Country Music Festival, Edinburgh Fringe Festival (broadcast on BBC Radio Scotland), EFG Jazz Festival, and Cross the Tracks Jazz Festival. She has also worked with Off Book a US based improvised musical on their UK tour and workshopped This Is A Love Story a new musical by Jack Godfrey at the Birmingham Hippodrome.
To ensure she continues to develop her musicality and stylistic awareness, Georgia continues to invest in tuition with experienced drummers in industry. She aims to develop a culturally informed and technically fluent playing style as she matures.
